LATE BREAKING MOTORNEWS!
Good news! Mikkey Dee WILL be playing the Vancouver Motorhead show October 1st!
(Allan didn't make a mistake - things changed).
Here is the PUNK NEWS!
Sept 25th marks some kind of anniversary for DOA and the party is at The Commodore. I think the anniversary has something to do with shitheads. Either way, DOA has their work cut out for them if they don’t want SNFU or The Jolts to steal the show. Wait a sec, isn’t this 3 Vancouver bands at The Commodore? Get out there and support people!

Sept 26th marks another anniversary of sorts. Chris Walter wrote his millionth book, is 106 years old and STILL punker than you. Unless you live under a bridge and bottle your own urine for drinking purposes, even Chris Walter’s giant tattooed head is not that punk. Please don’t kill me Mr. Walter. Now would be a good time to mention that Chris’ millionth book (actually fifteenth) is titled Punch The Boss, and a damn fine read. The story takes you through sweaty kitchens, freezing construction sites, rat-infested warehouses and into many offices of nasty bosses. I’d love to give away the ending, but you’re going to have to read it for yourself to find out if/when/which boss actually gets punched. The book launch is @ The Cobalt, it’s their last show ever and features the Subhumans, Alcoholic White Trash and one more band I’ve forgotten. I’m sure the poster is printed in this issue somewhere. You should look at it.

Wednesday Oct 7th The Rickshaw Theatre hosts a kickin’ bill featuring Bouncing Souls, Youth Brigade and some other bands. Get your ticket at Red Cat Records on Main, or possibly even Ticketmaster, but only if you like getting gouged for a bloody service fee. No Ticketmaster employees have ever serviced me once, so I don’t know where this fee is going. Granted it’s usually a little woman with a mustache working behind that booth so I might end up turning her away, but then again, probably not. I’m very lonely.
